Mamboportal.com isn't maintained anymore. Although many articles are outdated, I decided to keep the website online as a resource for those, who still use older versions of Mambo and Joomla. Personally I have moved on and started some other websites. It would be nice to see one or the other of you at my new websites:Odoo.tv (http://www.odoo.tv/) My actual main project. It is a very sucessfull german internet tv station for outdoor products. Actually it is visited by more than 100.000 viewers every month. You can find hundreds of movies about outdoor gear, knives, technical devices such as gps or outdoor watches and about survival.Odoo.tv Forum (http://forum.odoo.tv/) This is where you can find me online most of the time. It's the forum for Odoo.tv and it has a very active community. There are a lot of discussions about outdoor gear, knives and survival. Furthermore we have an own Teamspeak Server for live talks, we create podcasts, blogs and a lot image gallerys.Konze Webdesign (http://www.konze.de) My company website. Some informations about me and what I do. Don't bother visiting, hasn't been updated in ages. :-)Knifemovies.com (http://www.knifemovies.com/) My new project. From time to time I create some knife movies in english and publish them on this website. I took my first steps in wordpress with this site.

Joomla 1.5, old templates and the rest...

Today Joomly 1.5 final was officially released. Finally it is done although it was a long, a very long birth. Congrats to the community and the developers. With 1.5 being now the official Joomla version, I decided to massivly reduce my old commercial templates for Mambo 4.5.x and Joomla 1.0.x in price. You will find them over at www.mamboshop.com (http://www.mamboshop.com/) for onyl 9.99 Eur (taxes already included). As I am not active in the Joomla community anymore, I only will convert a few templates to 1.5 when I find the time to do so. So, if you ever wanted one of my templates, get them now. So, good luck to you all. Sometimes I really miss the old days, especially the nice Joomla community. In case you miss me take a look at www.odoo.tv (http://www.odoo.tv/), which is my new baby. A german website with outdoor videos.

AkoTorro template for Joomla 1.5

Today I released a first template for the upcoming version 1.5 of Joomla. The template, which is called AkoTorro, is a classical, two column design. It is mainly grey colored and was designed for modern company and organisation websites. The template comes with 50 additional background images for the content area and 25 background images for the logo area. By simply uploading them to the template directory you can customize the template to your needs fast. You can download AkoTorro in my filebaser here at Mamboportal.com. I opened up a new Joomla 1.5 section, which does not need registration any more. As the template is my first for Joomla 1.5, please report any bugs over at www.konze.de (http://www.konze.de/).

AkoCloud for Mambo an Joomla

Today I released AkoCloud for Joomla! 1.0.x and Mambo 4.5.1+. The module automatically generates tag clouds from your content items. The tag cloud contains the most used words from your website sized by their amount of appearance. By clicking on one of the words, the user is redirect to the search page with results for this tag.The module is highly configureable through the parameter system. You can choose the amount of tags, the sorting, the size for the smallest and the largest tag and many more. The opzimize results AkoCloud checks the result against the most common words of a language. I included english, german, french and dutch in this release. Further optimization is possible through a buildin black- and whitelist.AkoCloud can be downloaded directly here from Mamboportal.com. A life demo is also available here.
