Mambo and You

When did you get in contact with Mambo?
It was in summer 2003. I was looking for a simple and user-friendly CMS. In the repository of MySQL AB company I found Mambo (it was v3.0.7, I think this version is until now there). I decided to obtain additional information on an official site. There I found more fresh version - 4.0.13.I chose this system and a principal reason - architecture of this system was almost fully corresponded to my own opinion about construction of the systems of such class. So I began to use Mambo. Once when I looked over an official forum (yet on the basis of Fudforum) I saw suggestion from Mambo Core Team to do the LoudMouth board (v2.4) fully compatible with new Mambo 4.5 (there are under development yet). During two days I did this work and then sent the result to the Mambo's project manager, namely to Robert Castley. And you already know the rest...  :)

What is your current role in the Mambo community?
Currently I am a developer of LoudMouth Discussion Board and therefore i see my role is to help everyone to create own mambo-based community.

Do you have any Mambo projects beside the above?
Now I don't have. But I have some ideas and may be in the future it will become  an interesting projects.

What are you doing, when you are not working for Mambo?
I have fun together with my friends. Also, besides Mambo, I like acrobatics and  gymnastics (this is my another passion).

About Mambo

What is Mambo's biggest advantage against other CMS?
The biggest advantage of Mambo is concluded in its slogan: "Power in Simplicity!". Actually, Mambo has a very friendly interface in all his variants for any category  of people, such as for developers, designers, administrators and especially for users. If you know that you want to do, simply try to use Mambo and you will get easily all that you need.

And the biggest disadvantage?
I think the biggest disadvantage is current version of Mambo does not have support for Database Abstraction Layer. But as I know it will be implemented soon.

Where do you see Mambo in the future?
The most comprehensive and much more perfect framework which will be the base for variety types of web applications, not only CMS. Like the operating system for the computers, so Mambo for the World Wide Web.  ;)

Your final word to the community?
Mambo is the choice of modern generation! All of you know it, so help your friends to do the right choice.  :)
