Mambo and You
When Did you get in Contact with Mambo? I started using mambo about a year and a half ago, I used it to make a website for a local radio station, the website address is www.radiobosna.net. I was amazed at the features that mambo offered, and the community was very helpful in getting the site together.
What is your current role in the Mambo community? My Current role in the mambo community is just helping out wherever I can really. I have written a few tutorials for newcomers to mambo since I know how it is being new and not knowing everything. I have also released various Mambo templates for the community to use free of charge. I'm a happy team member at Mambers.com and Mambohut.com where I help out and write articles.
Do you have any Mambo projects beside the above? Projects that I work on are currently Allmambo.com and Backend Templates. The new release of 4.5.1 will make it possible to use your own backend template and I think that it will make a great impact on the Community when we finally come up with new features and looks for Mambo's backend.
What are you doing, when you are not working for Mambo? When I don't work for mambo I do Sports like track & field, I play soccer and I also travel a lot. Of course that all has to be mixed in with Homework and studying. I also enjoy going to parties and flirting with the ladies ;-)
About Mambo
What is Mambo's biggest advantage against other CMS? Mambo's biggest advantage about other CMS is its simplicity. It is very easy to install and use. In fact I made my little nine your old sister install mambo the other day and she didn't have too many problems getting it to work. Mambo is also very smooth and doesn't have all the useless features that you would see with other CMS.
And the biggest disadvantage? Something that Mambo is not too good with, I think is the Login system. The Login system is very poorly setup and in my opinion needs more options/features in order to succeed and make it easier for the everyday user to register and login. As we all now we have been asked a lot about people not being able to login after a while, so I think that needs some work.
Where do you see Mambo in the future? With all the great work that the Mambo Dev team is doing I see Mambo as #1 in the CMS world.
Your final word to the community? The community should respect the Dev team a bit more and give them time to work on what they have to do. They also have lives and may be even kids to take care of so we should be happy with what we got and of course the Dev team will work hard to make us happy in the future. |
