We, a team of well known Mambo community members and Mambo webmasters, are currently building up another forum for the community. These will be a board made for and with the community itself. We will have dozens of forums about all Mambo related topics. But this would be just a copy of the official forums.
So we decided to let community webmaster join in our project and build up larger forein language subforums. Our main intention is to bring the community together in one place. So with logging in once you can access several websites forum systems. We also tried to make it a nice home for you and uploaded about 300 avatars, 150 smilies and dozens of posticons. To make it all run smooth, we choosed vBulletin to be our forum backend software. Some of you may ask about using a Mamo integrated solution like Simpleboard or phpBB4MOS. But as we do not need Mambo just to set up a forum community, we decided to use the world number 1 forum solution (see http://www.big-boards.com/index.php?page=all). We are about to start with Mambers.com today at 20:00 CET (07:00 pm GMT) and I really hope to see you all there! Maybe we can include a few more MOS communities during the next days. (France? Spain? Sadly I lost your mails last week, but if you still like to join...) |
