Michelle Farran has decided to give up the development of his popular Glossary component. He sadly has too less time to continue on his own. The project will be taken over by Sascha Claren, who already developed the mosInfobot mambot. |

The Mambobrothers have announced the release of their latest commercial component called MAL. This stand for Mambo Access Levels and describes pretty well, what the component will do. MAL gives you the chance to use a secondary, very powerfull rights system inside your Mambo 4.5 installation. The component will cost 100 US$ and will be available at August 15th 2004 from their website:

Marko Bischof released a new version of his LeagueManager component today. The new version comes with many new features included like a dTree based backend and support for the Savant template engine. But this version is not available for free anymore. Marko decided to make it a commercial product. LeagueManager, which is the only sports league component for Mambo today, is available for 29 Euro's at his website:

Our community Mamber Blorf is currently developing a dating and matchmaking component for Mambo. Although his Mambomatch called component is far from being completed, he also has set up a first live preview. You can found it on his website, where you also can give him feedback through several poll. A discussion has been started at Mambers.com too.

Phil Taylor has converted the ListMessenger program to Mambo 4.5 recently. Since today his version, which is called mosListMessenger, is available at his website for 20 GBP. ListMessenger is a mailing list management software written in php.

Ronald Smit announced today that the development of his RS Gallery component will continue. Although Ronald has not much time left for the development personally, three other developers joined him to support the further development. The new RS Gallery development team now consists of:

Jonathan Cutrer has updated his NXT Links component to version 1.1 beta 1 today. The yahoo-like weblinks component for Mambo 4.5 comes with several new features:
- Multi-language support (Currently includes English and German)

After a longer development process Danial Taherzadeh released his MyPMS Professional component for Mambo 4.5 today. The commercial component can be used to send messages between users. It has a lot of features, so we can only list the most significant:

Oli Merten has updated his poll component PollXT to version 0.84 today. The new version of this feature packed and highly configureable component is a bugfix version only. Martin Watson has converted the popular Flash games Yetisports 4 and 5 to Mambo 4.5 today. The Yeti throws the pinguin up to flyinf albatross birds in version 4, while he play's golf with the pinguin in Africa in Yetisports 5. Both files can be downloaded from our filebase. |

Adam van Dongen has updated his Yanc newsletter component for Mambo 4.5 to version 1.3 today. The new version comes with some new features and a few bugs busted:
- Log signupdate when someone subscribes to a mailing
- Let users decide for html mailings whether they want to receive the html or text version
- Allow the administrator to hide send mailings from the frontend
- Statistics about the number of mailings sent, and who has read it.

I'm proud to announce that AkoForms, my commercial formmailer component, is listed at Steven Pignataro's CorePHP website since today. Over at CorePHP you can try out more than 100 components in the front- and backend of Mambo. This makes it easy to find out if a component can serve you or not.
AkoForms is the first commercial component over at CorePHP, which I of course donated for free to support Steven's project. Personally I hope other developers will follow my example. So be sure to check out AkoForms at CorePHP:

Federico Almada has converted four cool Flash games to Mambo 4.5 components today. All of them have been added to Mamboportal.com's filebase, where you can grab them:
- Microlife: A Tamagotchi like game where you have to take care of Micro's. Wonderfull!!!
- Pyramids: A small puzzle game, where you have to navigate a jumping ball.
- Sheepish: A frogger style game with sheeps instead of frogs. Absoluteyl cool!
- Shoot Em In: A small soccer game, where you have to shoot at the goal.
