Today Joomly 1.5 final was officially released. Finally it is done although it was a long, a very long birth. Congrats to the community and the developers. With 1.5 being now the official Joomla version, I decided to massivly reduce my old commercial templates for Mambo 4.5.x and Joomla 1.0.x in price. You will find them over at www.mamboshop.com for onyl 9.99 Eur (taxes already included). As I am not active in the Joomla community anymore, I only will convert a few templates to 1.5 when I find the time to do so. So, if you ever wanted one of my templates, get them now. So, good luck to you all. Sometimes I really miss the old days, especially the nice Joomla community. In case you miss me take a look at www.odoo.tv, which is my new baby. A german website with outdoor videos. |

Today I released a first template for the upcoming version 1.5 of Joomla. The template, which is called AkoTorro, is a classical, two column design. It is mainly grey colored and was designed for modern company and organisation websites.
The template comes with 50 additional background images for the content area and 25 background images for the logo area. By simply uploading them to the template directory you can customize the template to your needs fast. You can download AkoTorro in my filebaser here at Mamboportal.com. I opened up a new Joomla 1.5 section, which does not need registration any more. As the template is my first for Joomla 1.5, please report any bugs over at www.konze.de. |

Today I released AkoCloud for Joomla! 1.0.x and Mambo 4.5.1+. The module automatically generates tag clouds from your content items. The tag cloud contains the most used words from your website sized by their amount of appearance. By clicking on one of the words, the user is redirect to the search page with results for this tag.
The module is highly configureable through the parameter system. You can choose the amount of tags, the sorting, the size for the smallest and the largest tag and many more. The opzimize results AkoCloud checks the result against the most common words of a language. I included english, german, french and dutch in this release. Further optimization is possible through a buildin black- and whitelist. AkoCloud can be downloaded directly here from Mamboportal.com. A life demo is also available here. |

Today we started Joomble.com, a weblinks directory for pages related to Joomla! and websites based on it. Similar to what Mamble.com was for Mambo, we decided to build up a directory for the uprising Joomla! CMS. At the moment more than 30 different categories are available for user submitted links. Besides the common features like user voting or user reviews, we addded a feature, which displays the Google pagerank of a weblink.
We are now waiting for users submitting their Joomla! websites to the directory and help us all to get a valueable link resource for the community. To get listed a websites needs to be either build up with Joomla! or hast to contain informations about the CMS. The new website can be found here: |
